 Attention!

All Meat room Butchers, Packers, Apprentices and Cleaners

Company Misleading Unions Position!

Contrary to misinformation spread by a Woolworth's HR Specialist, this Union has not agreed to anything! - we have consistently told management that any agreement proposed by the company will need to be ratified by our membership.

Specifically the Union has NOT agreed to any of the following:

   a) The slicer classification        DISAGREED

   b) The 'savings clause'            - DISAGREED

   c) Two year agreement             - DISAGREED

   d) Working Outside the Meat Unit - Only for injured Workers

These are the same people who tried to con you into believing that the Union Campaign in Victoria Failed - why trust anything they have to say as being accurate?

If you want to know the Unions Position on anything to do with this dispute - Contact the Union on 93289388 or email us your concerns at wameat@iinet.net.au. If you would like to find out more you can log onto our Website which is http://wa.amieu.asn.au/                                                  .

Our Campaign is on Target.

Every store that we have requested members to take action at,the action has been overwhelmingly supported  by all.

They have manned a peaceful protest line at the front of the Woolworths stores and have refused to be intimidated by security personnel etc. They have conducted themselves in a professional way and have received huge support from the general public with Woolworths customers lining up to sign a petition supporting the workers

Stores that have taken action so far include:

Morley, Dianella, Ballajura, Spearwood Armadale, Kelmscott, Belmont, Beechboro, Kingsway and Bull Creek

We will call on your store in due course and ask for your support, if and when necessary - it is our intention to visit every store in the state - we will not be beaten!

Don't be part of the Problem - Be part of the Solution

If the company continues to refuse to negotiate in good faith then they will leave our members no other option but to continue action in support of their pay and conditions - Remember Unity is Strength
