Southern District Life Members Function

On Wednesday 12th November 2008 a function was held for Life Members from the Southern district.

It was great to see the "lifies" turn up to chat to their old mates and impart some of their wisdom to the younger generation of union officials. The lunch was sponsored by Maurice Blackburn Pty Ltd with thier representative, Kerry, enjoying the ambience of the occasion. Our new venue, The Shafston Hotel, catered well for the ocassion and many compliments were passed on to the chef.

Charlie King, an old "lifie", expressed appreciation to the officials and staff for holding the function and to Maurice Blackburn for their sponsorship. He, and the other lifies had a great time catching up with old mates. We hope to see them all back again next year. Some photos taken on the day can be found through the link below:
