A fundamental right of any meatworker is the right to join the Union, organise and have a Union official give you advice or represent you in your workplace on any matter.

For nearly 100 years, legislation and awards have given Union officials a right to enter workplaces to meet with members for this purpose, as well as recruiting new workers into the Union.

Mr. Howard now wants to make it nearly impossible to do this.  He wants to take away your right to access your Union officials. 

Mr. Howard wants to assist bad employers to keep the Union out of their workplaces.

State award workers should note - Mr. Howard is seeking to make these laws apply to your workplaces as well.
